I’m Cai Yawen, a ceramic artist and designer from China.
Graduated from Musashino Art University in Japan with a major in ceramics, my work explores the delicate balance between form, material, and emotion. I craft vessels and sculptural pieces that are rooted in daily life, where subtle textures, variations in temperature, and traces of time become part of the story.
My artistic language blends traditional East Asian craftsmanship with contemporary sensibilities. I’m drawn to the quiet power that lies in fragility — a strength often embodied in feminine energy — and aim to express that through clay.
